Earn extra money on World of Books trade-ins
Adding TopCashback to your book recycling journey is an easy way to get a little bit extra. We’ll give you a portion of your trade-in total back as cashback, just for going through us. But that’s not the only way you can get more bang for your books.
World of Books offer free delivery and courier collection for book trade-ins, which makes them stand out from some of their competitors.
How much money you earn using World of Books Sell depends on how much your used books are worth. Really popular books and paperbacks often go for less, with less common books and editions fetching more. This varies all the time, so it’s worth checking again at a later date if you’re not happy with your quote.
New customers can bag an extra 10% on top of their trade with Wob’s welcome offer. You’ll sometimes see World of Books coupon codes offering bonus cash on trade-ins during certain times too. Bear in mind that applying coupons that we haven’t approved and listed on this page will stop your cashback from tracking.
How to sell with World of Books
You can start selling quickly and easily by downloading the World of Books – Sell Your Books app.
Use the built-in barcode scanner to register all of your books and get an instant price quote for each one. You can also carry out your trade-in on the World of Books website, but you’ll need to type in the ISBN for each book, as there’s no scanner option available.
Once you’ve scanned 10 or more books, or your total has hit £5, you’ll be able to proceed with your trade. Check that you’re happy with your quote, then follow the steps to check out. You'll need to select your preferred payment method – bank transfer, PayPal or cheque.
Package up your books carefully in a suitable box, seal it securely and write your trade number clearly somewhere on it. InPost handles smaller deliveries, so take your parcel to your nearest drop-off point and scan your shipping barcode. Trade-ins weighing over 5kg qualify for free courier collection. Your courier will attach a prepaid shipping label to your box when they collect it.
Wob offer fast payments, processing your items as quickly as possible. You should receive payment within five working days.

What books do World of Books accept?
World of Books accept a wide range of fiction paperbacks and hardbacks from all genres, as well as nonfiction books, textbooks, CDs, DVDs and games.
Any books you sell need to be in acceptable condition for Wob to be able to resell them. This means the cover and pages must be intact and undamaged, with no writing or water damage. If the book came with a dust jacket, this must be included in your trade.
If any of your books fail to meet Wob’s acceptance criteria, they will be rejected. You won’t get paid for rejected books, and they’re unable to be returned.
