Cashback tracked promptly and paid out within a month. I was switching my Aunt's gas and electricity supply because First Utility were going to be alot cheaper for her and also they were part of the Warm Home discount scheme for which she is eligible. Very easy site to navigate and everything done on-line. I hope they prove as competitive when I come to renew.

Cashback tracked immediately. Switch to First Utility went smooth. Cashback took a little longer than anticipated (16 weeks total) but correct sum paid. Very happy.

Payout period was a bit lengthy and the payout amount was less than other retailers. The reason I used First:Utility was because of a recommendation from a relative based around customer service, not cash back. The cash back did track quickly and easily.

The switch to first utility for both gas and electricity went very smoothly. The first 3 bills were even cheaper than expected and definitely cheaper than with my previous provider npower. The cashback process went well too and the sum was the one indicated.

Cashback tracked and became payable fairly swiftly. Supplier was cheaper, all online and easy to switch. Just annoying the rate has now increased, nevermind..

As with most suppliers offering a cheaper supply they are sometimes overwhelmed by new customer’s joining them. This was the case with me. They also had an issue with the smart meter fitters; i.e. not fitting on an arranged date. This happened twice and also a failure to reply to my complaint. I received £20 on 3 occasions for the missed appointments. The fitters (a contracted firm) were at fault and measures put in place to correct mistakes. First Utility also took on more customer service staff and was undertaking a training program in December last year. I very large number of new customers joined them when British gas put their prices up. It’s nice to be able to see exactly my usage each day, and also the much lower prices I am now paying.

Hi , Only put 5 stars to warn people that their customer service is diabolical ,(if you can get through to them). You have to make a big fuss to get your cashback and don't rely on the promised "smart meters" either as when it was time to fit mine, they changed their minds and the excuse was "we are waiting now for the new generation meters", I said when might that be ? ... they said "don't know" !. Also i was in £191 in credit and i left them and it took them ages to pay the money back , I had to keep reminding them ,(they even refused at first and said i couldn't have the money back as it was needed in my ac to cover the winter costs , I told them i had already left and got no response !. finaly got the £191 back only to find that the next day they had taken another £70 direct debit ! . Be careful you have been warned .
