AVOID this insurer like the plague - they will refuse to pay out on most things so although you pay no excess, you'll be paying the whole cost as they won't give you a penny! One of our dogs got a grass seed in his paw which needed surgical removal - fairly common occurrence - however pet pals said they wouldn't pay as he didn't eat it. Crazy. As with everything, you get what you pay for. Don't skimp on pet insurance, it will come back to bite you.

Cancelled this once I found out that they cover for very little. My cat has had a condition in the past where his fur falls out when stressed. It's a common problem in cats yet they do not cover for it like my old company.
Check what is covered before you buy as it is in fact very little

Great price for cat insurance, had a bit of a blonde moment when I realised it said "Indoor cat Policy" after I had set up the D/D!So I phoned them and all is ok, it's not just for indoor cats. Couldn't tell you about the cashback have had it yet, I am sure it will all be ok.

I can't see any reference to any owner been struck off by FSA, as claimed by the first reviewer. Petpals is owned by Pet Protect with Domestic & General insurance also on their board. Don't know where this information on "owner struck off" comes from as it isn't on the FSA website. Sorry but youy "don't buy" warning doesn't seem to stack up.

I have checked this retailer on the FSA website (referred to our their own website). It turns out that the owner of the company was struck of the FSA in Dec07 for pocketing all monies taken and not taking out the insurance his clients paid for. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - YOU WILL NOT BE INSURED.
