Would give zero if I could, 1 year after taking out the policy and still no sign of the cashback.

Ok getting somewhere now. Apparently this is a glitch where the company's general t+c's are watered down into a one size fits all. whereas the usual process is to ask if a certain distance is involved, it doesn't when using cashback site. The guy i am dealing with now is a lot more reasonable about all this and I expect this will be resolved now. i will keep matters up to date....

Absolute disgrace. Everything was fine until they called to "confirm" the insurance. Then cited a stream, via google, approx. 400 metres away as a way of bumping the policy up £100. Just to be clear, I have lived at my address for 18 years and didn't even know this "stream" existed and it is nowhere near my house and cannot possibly affect it. Anyways, i told them to stuff it and cancel and was informed that a £55 charge would apply for cancellation, despite the underwriters' policy of cancelling with a full refund if done within 14 days. There is no other mention of a fee on the website as far as i can see. I think a lot of people will be getting this charge. They may as well ask if you live near an Airport, or a Bus stop as almost everyone will fall fowl of this 'stream (they call it watercourse) condition'!
I have presently been waiting for 30 minutes on hold on an 0845 number to get this resolved, despite the fact that they rang me within 2 minutes to "confirm my details". This screams of a CON tactic. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I will be taking this all the way to small claims as well...
