Did not track and had to raise manual claim. Confusing as was offering cashback on cover that is not on their site, so thought it had been a typing error on topcashback site. Raised a query and was told to submit claim. Submitted claim May and has become payable now. Overall happy with cashback and topcashback claim team for their help. Would use again as a bonus if you do get, as no different to going direct to the company.

Got a very comprehensive insurance deal to cover the excess and pretty much anything else not covered by the car hire company and a lot cheaper than paing for their own, so really a "no brainer". Getting some cash back as well is the icing on the cake. 4 stars rather than 5 as the payout takes a long time, 3 months plus

Cashback tracked, but at zero. Merchant has taken several months to respond - wouldn't use them again for cashback.
Can't comment on the product as never had to claim

I have used iCarhireinsurance several times and always found them an excellent company - good communication and no problems with cashback.
However, the proof of insurance is when you have to make a claim. On my last trip I did some minor (but expensive) damage to a wheel and was paid in full within a month.

Cashback tracked at a significantly lower amount than was due. Had to raise a claim for the correct amount to be paid.

I renewed this insurance as I regularly hire cars and don't like the excessive add on insurance from hire companies. When I mis-fuelled in November 2011 I did not start or move the hire car.It was drained and re-fuelled appropriately.I paid for the fuel.When I phoned the co.I was told I could claim for mis-fuelling.My claim was refused as the exclusion for this was " From loss or damage to the Rental
Vehicle as a result of it’s fuel tank being filled with the
incorrect fuel type. ". There was no loss and no damage.Stay away from these people!!

We brought car hire insurance with icarhireinsurance
Unfortuantly we had to make a claim.
The company was very good and we recieved a cheque within 4 weeks of the amount Thrifty had charged us.
Can rate the coy high enough

I've used this company twice, and both times the cashback tracked quickly. I received the cash around 3 months later. 23% cashback is a very good deal!

Painles process. Everything tracked. I have used them to get insurance for car hire and streetcar. Save a lot of cash rather than getting at airport or paying streetcar.

Not good service. One month after small incident with rental car in Croatia, still cannot get claim form out of them,despite 3 phone calls and promises to send form each time. Not sure I would recommend these people.

Didnt have to put the insurance to the test luckily, so cant comment on that, but this product was just the job. Easy to apply and straightforward to arrange, even at short notice. Would use again. Cashback approved within a couple of days.

Tracked quickly, took a while to become confirmed and now awaiting payment. Great product .... it's saved me huge £'s already! And great cashback % too - can't complain!

I ordered an annual policy, taking the car club upgrade, and only the amount paid for the upgrade tracked. Raising a claim for the amount I paid for the core policy.
Insurance does seem good value as others have said. I would note though that their customer service line is only open 9:30-16:30, which isn't very convenient if you have a problem!
