An update on my previous posts. Today 6/3/17 cashback of £85 has moved to confirmed. It has not tracked up to now (7 months after taking out policy). But I would say looking very positive. Thank you TCB customer services for your help!

Beware! Direct Line use auto-renewal which you must accept when you start the policy. They have a price-match guarantee ('We won't be beaten on price') but you can only make your claim by post to Bristol and your proof of a lower premium won't be returned. Who would take an online quote and claim a refund by post?

the worst i have come across - took much much longer than stated (15 weeks stated, took over 6 months). i guess it was worth the wait as thier cashback was a good amount, hence the 2 stars rather than 1

Dont waste your time with Direct Line, they are offering cashback to get you to take out policy then they simply decline it for no reason. Followed all instructions and purchased qualifying policy, have all emails and even a video to prove it. Will not be using again.
