  • What will stop me getting cashback?
    • Aviva reserves the right to cancel a policy and decline cashback should there be a basis for suspicion of fraud, or should it suspect the terms of the offer are being abused.

    • Cashback is paid once an application is approved and a minimum of six (6) consecutive premiums have been collected. Please allow up to eight (8) weeks after this for the cashback payment to be processed.

    • Cashback offer is limited to one (1) cashback payment per policy only, including joint policies.

    • Cashback will not be paid if a saved quote is used. You must click the TopCashback link, generate a new quote and make your purchase immediately.

    • Promotional/voucher codes not posted and approved by TopCashback may affect your eligibility for cashback.

    • The offer is open to all new Critical Illness Plan policies; however, it will not be paid if you have previously cancelled a Critical Illness Plan taken out directly with Aviva in the last 12 months. Cashback will not be paid in conjunction with any other offer, voucher or discount code unless listed on this page, or with any other discounts (such as staff or student discounts).

  • What to do when
    • The vast majority of transactions from merchants track successfully, occasionally a transaction may not get reported. If you believe this to be the case, please submit a "Missing Cashback" query within 30 days of the transaction, we will be unable to chase up claims older than this.

    • A "Missing Cashback" query must be submitted within 100 days of the transaction, if the transaction does not track automatically.
    • We will make all reasonable endeavors to secure the payment of commission on a transaction but we do not and cannot make any guarantee in this regard.

What is critical illness cover? It’s an insurance policy that helps protect you if you become critically ill during the policy term. It pays out a tax-free lump sum that you can use however you like – whether that’s to help cover health-related costs, monthly expenses, or lost income while you get better.
Our plan also includes a children’s benefit*, at no extra cost, that covers your children if they are diagnosed with or undergo surgery for a critical illness.

The app and its services are powered by Square Health, along with a handful of other carefully chosen third party providers – all to give you the best support we can. Aviva Critical Illness Cover will pay out if you’re diagnosed with or have surgery for an illness that meets our policy definition during the term of the policy and survive for at least 10 days. We only cover the critical illnesses we define in our policy and no others, and there’s no cash in value. You need to be a UK resident aged between 18 and 64 to apply. Cashback is payable after your sixth monthly premium has been received.

*If your child has a critical (not terminal) illness, we’ll pay up to £25,000, or 50% of the cover amount (whichever is lower) until they’re 18 (or 21 if they’re in full time education).
