in reply to the second post, which is basically saying i'm an idiot. " Why else would they pay you £1 to register, without you paying anything to them? It cearly states £1 cashback for new registration, nothing saying you have to purchase anything. if i read terms and conditions of every site i visit i would be glued to my pc chair 24/7. i do use a spam email, i am not stupid. i wonder who mateypeeps works for? and why defend these sites??

To answer the above first post. To be fair to the merchant, what do you expect from a site that CLEARLY says in it privacy statement "to send you information on products or services offered by our company which we think you may be interested in " and "We may pass the information we collect about you to other members of our group, including companies with which we have joint ventures or strategic alliances. We may also pass your information to carefully selected companies we work with who will use your information for marketing and advertising products and services which may be of interest to you. As we continue to develop our business, we might sell or buy assets. In such transactions, the information we have collected about you will generally be one of the transferred business assets. Also in the unlikely event that Allegran Limited or its assets areacquired, this information will also be one of the transferred assets." We may share information about you with: other companies in the same corporate group as us; a buyer or prospective buyer of our business; " as well as "We may also contact you to send you information about other similar products or services that we offer. If you do not want to receive this type of information, please let us know by contacting us. If you agree, we shall pass on your information to other companies in the same corporate group as us and/or third parties so that they may offer you their products and services. If you have consented but no longer want us to pass your information to third parties, please let us know by contacting us." Why else would they pay you £1 to register, without you paying anything to them? If you do not like the number of emails, use a throwaway GMAIL or Hotmail or Yahoo email acount and delete the lot, or actually unsubscribe from the emails, as they suggest.
