What You'll Get

Take out 1st Central car insurance and you'll be able to manage your policy online 24 hours a day, seven days a week. In addition, 1st Central customers can take advantage of a free courtesy car when using 1st Central's approved network for insured repairs, and if you're hit by an uninsured driver and it’s not your fault, you won’t lose your No Claims Discount. A 1st Central insurance policy will provide cover for driving other cars, while you'll benefit from up to £1,500 Key Assist for lost or stolen keys and up to £1,000 for in-car entertainment.

What They Cover

There are two types of 1st Central car insurance you can buy — comprehensive and third party, fire & theft. Both policies offer drivers fire & theft and liability to others cover, while for every year of claim-free driving, you'll accrue No Claims Discount.

Whichever you choose, your cover will extend to 90 days of driving in any EU country, plus Croatia, Iceland, Norway, Switzerland, Liechtenstein and Andorra. Not only that, you’ll get Key Assist up to £1,500 to cover replacement locks, keys and locksmith charges, plus up to three days of car hire. Opt for comprehensive cover and you'll also benefit from accidental damage, windscreen, personal accident, personal belongings and medical expenses cover, plus a courtesy car.

You can tailor your motor insurance policy to suit your needs thanks to the range of optional extras available to you.

Legal Expenses Cover on top of your 1st Central car insurance policy will give you up to £100,000 to help you recover uninsured losses, such as any loss of earnings, if you have an accident which isn't your fault. Personal Accident Cover will pay out up to £60,000 per person to protect your loved ones should something happen to you, while its Hire Car Cover will provide you with a class-A replacement vehicle for up to 28 days if your car is stolen or written off, meaning you can carry on with your daily life.

You can also add one of a various levels of RAC Breakdown Cover to suit your needs and get your car back up and running. Excess Protect Cover means you’ll get your excess refunded when you make a claim resulting from the likes of fire, theft, vandalism or flood.

Making A Claim

If you need to make a claim on your 1st Central car insurance, you should call them as soon as possible after an accident.

You can be sure they’ll be on hand to look after you and will talk you through your options, as well as deal with any third parties. You can also take advantage of free collection and delivery of your vehicle.

They also offer a five-year warranty on all repairs, plus mobile estimates, where possible, as well as like-for-like vehicle replacement (subject to terms and conditions).
