Very poor. I am still waiting for cashback for my purchase in 2010! I had to submit a claim for my purchase in April which eventually tracked after being chased in July. I would not recommend.

At first I was impressed that Swinton rang me from my local office after taking out my Home Contents Policy (underwritten by Groupama) to tell me that all future dealings would be via them. I thought it was refreshing that a web-ordered policy would still have the personal touch.
I am now VERY DISAPPOINTED with Swinton. I have never had to claim on my home contents insurance policies in 35 years but this year my daughter's laptop was accidentally damaged when our cat jumped off a shelf and knocked something onto the closed lid which ruined the screen display. Phoning to make a claim, I was told to ring Groupama direct. When I did, they said the policy had NEVER BEEN ACTIVATED by Swinton and was not live on their system. They got in touch with Swinton who said they would see to it that it was done immediately. That was two weeks ago; today, chasing it up, I was told the policy STILL hadn't been activated and STILL wasn't live on their system. That took another call from Groupama to Swinton, a call back to me from Groupama established they they had been most unhelpful and I would need to ring Swinton again to ask to have all the policy documentation faxed across to Groupama manually so that they could upload it themselves to their system. Then perhaps, FINALLY, I could make a claim ... My policy is due for renewal at the end of March ... I WILL NOT renew via Swinton. My cashback experience was absolutely fine and I can't fault TCB; I got my cashback no problem. However SWINTON (or at least the Weston super Mare branch) are RUBBISH!

18 months later and still no sign of my £30 cashback, it didn't track initially and still hasn't after a manual claim and repeated nudges.
Very, very poor. Won't be using Swinton again.

Took 8 mths to get cashback! Can't complain about Top CahBack, but Swindon were VERY slow.

I used TCB & their own £30 cashback deal for home insurance.
I have received their £30 cheque exactly to the 90 days as stated & banked it.
TCB . . . . still waiting, don't bank on it.

its now a year and a half and although i have made several requests i still havnt been paid the £30 cashback due to me so customers beware of this when choosing swinton home insurance.

To give an even-handed view I would like to report that my £30 cash back has finally become payable, one week short of the policy's renewal date. Whether or not this is because of my many emails to Top Cashback (who worked very hard on my behalf) is a different topic for debate!

Spoke with my local Swinton when they called again to sell me a renewal. When I told them I was a bit hacked off with them and why they immediately 'spoke with their manager' and offered a £100 discount by way of goodwill.
However, their initial quote was for £309 (now £209) and when I priced it myself on the Swinton Website it came out at £201 (before Cashback). It reminded me of an episode of Watchdog covering 'door-to-door salesmen' who start off with a greatly inflated price and then phone their manager to get a 'special' discount.
If I didn't feel they were scammers before I certainly do now!

Had a message from Swinton on my answer phone today asking me to call to renew my policy. Good job I wasn't in otherwise they would have received a very rude reply as despite many, many prompts and contacts with Top Cashback (who have tried really hard) SWINTON HAVE STILL NOT PAID UP NEARLY 1 YEAR LATER. I feel ripped off and it would sorely rub salt in the wound to give them further business.

The end of my policy is in sight but despite several prompts and corresponding directly with Top Cashback themselves every month since last year, Swinton HAVE STILL NOT PAID OUT.
Most people would have given up by now thus giving Swinton the business for no reward.
I daresay that they will send me a renewal notice soon, no prizes for gussing what my (impolite) response is likely to be.

Recieved incomplete paperwork and had to contact them direct. Cashback only appeared several months after many manual prompts. Has now been in 'Pending' so long it is now nearly 3 months overdue. Sloppy customer service with poor attention to detail and although I have kept prompting over and over again (many people would have given up by now) I STILL have not received the Cashback. I have no confidence in this company and dread the possibility of having to make a claim.

Would not use this retailer again - sloppy paperwork, poor attention to detail and unreliable.

Took several manual prompts to even get the Cash Back acknowledged. Now it has been it is still well overdue for payment and remains firmly in the 'pending' column. Coupled with the fact that Swinton got the initial paperwork completely wrong and had to resend it I am far from impressed and would not use them in the future. Being on this site is NO incentive to use them.

Had to prompt several times over a three months before Cashback was acknowledged and now payment is firmly stuck in 'Pending' with payment now 1 month overdue.
Far from impressed and would definitely not consider Cashback an incentive to use this company in the future.

Received policy promptly but unfortunately details were wrong and the prepaid envelope for the direct debit return details was not included. Poor attention to detail.
Received new documents and envelope two days after phoning them but cashback has still not registered on my account over a week after initializing the policy.

Declined my cashback, funnily enough just after the 100 day mark, so it's now too late to open a claim. £33 cashback was what made me go with them. What's the point in them being on here if they decline?
