L'Occitane aim to use high-quality, traceable, natural ingredients in their skincare products, and of the more than 200 botanical ingredients used, a quarter of them are organic certified and carefully selected both for their effectiveness and their ability to provide your skin with the elements it needs.

These ingredients are used at an ideal concentration in L'Occitane formulas. Where possible, they give priority to natural ingredients and, for example, use vegetable oils instead of oils derived from petrochemicals.

However, in order to ensure their products offer the maximum safety and effectiveness, they may use synthetic molecules when there's no reliable or effective natural alternative. L'Occitane have also removed all parabens from their products and they've been paraben-free since January 2014.
