Cashback Experience: there were cheaper policies that matched my requirements, however the cashback offered made this a better deal overall... or would have. Initially it did not track. After a month it tracked at 30p (not the £8.25 quoted). After another month it tracked at a lesser amount, a few pounds short. After 4 months the lesser amount became payable, so I made sure TopCashback knew that I was withdrawing the lesser amount but still wanted to chase up the difference; and clarified that this would not interfere with my claim. TCB kept sending messages that required customer action and they were usually asking me to close the claim as some of the cashback had been paid. Later the claim returned 'Unsuccessfully' due to an amount already credited to my account in relation to the transaction. This was put down to a 'system' error. Then there was a gap of 6 months where TCB did nothing despite me wondering why they even had to submit it as technically they were the merchant (although the policy was with InsureWithEase I'd used TopCashBack Compare). The explanation for the 10 month delay was that my claim was part of a batch. Then I had requests to find out confirm what the product was... er... I had already submitted these details 10 months before and it was all on the system. After 11 months I was told that it had now been submitted to TopCashBack Compare Insurance (via their affiliate network or representative management agency who run their online programme for them) and could take 4 weeks to several months to sort. When it got to 1 year from the purchase of the policy I asked again for payment. Unbelievably some money arrived to cover the claim (or possibly TCB realised it was never coming and decided to pay out).
So the payment time was 12 months and 1 day (and many hours of requests, having to duplicate details, responding to messages, chasing up)
