TopCashback experience was fine. To echo other comments on here, please AVOID this company. They are DREADFUL. They wanted £75 excess + £75 excess + £65 "ladder hire" fee. Absolutely WOEFUL.

Cashback is fine but be very careful if using this company. They did not use their own service engineers, but 'contracted out'. Also they kept emailing me with a '2 months free' special offer. Even though I ignored it and did not reply confirming that I wanted to take up the offer, 2 months later they started taking out the premium from my account anyway. They never reply to emails and online chat people are only there to sell stuff, not answer queries - you then get told that you have to phone them.

Went through Topcashback for 24/7 Home rescue and received cashback for CAR rescue - about 40 less than advertised. A complete joke !!!!!!!!!!

Poor payment of cashback
Purchased home care in November 2023 and cash back should’ve been £57.15 , it tracked as £19.90! Opened claim for missing cashback . Got word back today that 24/7 says that’s all I’m getting and that’s it! . False advertising and shouldn’t be getting away with it! Looking at other reviews I’m not the only one. Won’t be purchasing from them again in future . Avoid !

Avoid at all costs
So difficult to arrange a service, overseas call centre. Quick to take your money but slow to provide service. Twice they have now cancelled my appointment for boiler service on the day.

Very poor company, did not provide an appointment as when I called the engineer to confirm my appointment, he advised he had not been paid and was no longer working for 24/7 Home rescue. Tried to rebook but given the same details. They did not return calls when they said they would. Left now and got back to British Gas.

The old adage applies that you get what you pay for. 24/7 are an insurance company they do not employ their own service personnel hence when you book an appointment the service company they use will give you a time slot from 8am to 5pm this means you have to wait all day for the engineer to come. Generally they arrived at 5pm. If they could not finish the job you had to wait in another whole day for the engineer to come. This is ok if you have nothing else to do than waste your time waiting. When we tried the emergency number one weekend it turned out to be the normal office number and we got no response. This is not 24/7 cover. Unfortunately I had 2 contracts with them and despite me giving notice twice that I was not renewing them they still managed to overcharge me by one month as they said they had no record of cancellation. This was not unexpected as in general they give poor service. The only deserved star was that the engineers the companies they deal with were very competent. In general best avoided go direct to BG etc. who employ their own tradesmen.

Topcashback experience was fine, but as soon as I had to make a claim, they started adding fees and charges right, left and centre - they employ 3rd parties to carry out any repairs and their management of these companies is nothing short of woeful. I was left several hundred pounds of out pocket; the people they did send out did not fix the issue and ultimately I ended up having to hire my own people to rectify the situation. Avoid at all costs.
