Lots of Hidden Fees - Avoid
Stuck on the side of the M62 & had to climb back over the barrier to make a further payment as my "type" of breakdown was not covered under my policy. Cannot locate the wording in the policy to this day where I must pay additional fees if my breakdown isn't as specific as the "clutch" but unfortunately I'm not a mechanic so I couldn't diagnose the fault so was forced to pay to be safe from 4 lanes of traffic. Please avoid - lots of very specific T&C's. If you are on a motorway at a weekend you will end up paying extra to get to an open garage & onward journey is only "contribution" to hotel or taxi but no amount is specified. Trust Pilot Reviews that led me to purchase unfortunately are based on ease of purchase - not performance of recovery.

Broke down 260 miles from home, this company didn't want to know. Recovered my new vehicle 2 weeks later, had to make my own arrangments to get home.

TAKE CARE .....cashback is only great if you get what you want. There is a ver clever "opt in" for a £40 excess on callouts which I missed!!! Realised after I bought what I thought was a good value policy and was charged £5 to cancel ! BE WARY check check that you have purchased what you ned

This was a straight forward purchase via TCB. No payment as I hadn't met some criteria. I think this is some form of con trick to get your business.

Never received cashback and also called to close my policy after finding a better deal. SCARY THING WAS - even though I had paid extra for printed policy documents with my policy number and they charged my credit card - so I definitely bought/paid for their service... their customer advisor on the phone could find no records of my policy - said it didnt exist. Ended up could not cancel policy as nothing to cancel apparentley ! So I'm fifty quid worse off with no service. Thank goodness I never tried to use them - especially if I had actually broken down somewhere. Finally - even though you pay for the policy as an annual lump sum - no refund/rebate if you decide to cancel after the first 2 weeks of policy - RIP OFF !!!

Dont bother with this lot - refused cash back. TopCashBack dont fair any better as I specifically asked what the reason was and they refused the request - hence allowing the merchant to refuse a genuine claim.

Cashback did not track - no surprise there, have now got message from TCB saying my claim has been refused due to me not adhering to term and conditions. As usual no explanation given - so I have no idea what I did wrong. Big thumbs down all round.

Just to to get the facts strait about the £40 excess, The first £40 of any claim made within 72 hours of cover being purchased. Just bought this policy to early to make other comments.

Something strange with these reviews for RescueMyCar on TCB. Virtually nothing negative. Take a look at the reviews here http://www.reviewcentre.com/reviews-all-116736.html and it paints quite a different picture. I am mighty suspicious and would like TCB to confirm that that haven't removed any negative comments.

I started going through the quote process, and I hadn't even had time to enter my payment details before someone was calling the mobile number I had given just a few moment earlier. It is really unfortunate that this company invaded my privacy so quickly after obtaining my details, as they had provided a very good quote which I would have accepted. I don't do business where I'm likely to be hassled by marketing, so on this occasion I won't be purchasing their products. If you just want to save money, then these quotes are probably a bargain buy even without the cashback. If you value your privacy, perhaps you need to look elsewhere and be prepared to pay a little more.
