First time I brought homecare with British Gas the cashback wasn't tracked and I couldn't even make a claim because I used other people's laptop to buy the service. So I couldn't track this claim. The second time I'm buying BS's homecare, I should be getting £42 cashback but instead only £10.50 showing!!! This is such a scam! When I try to claim it is only showing that I can claim £40, even missing £2??!?!?!?!?! Very unhappy!!!

The cashback flow does NOT work for this merchant - it is impossible to get beyond the initial quote stage and actually complete any order for the HomeCare packages - maybe it's deliberately broken?

A Big BG con ...keep away ...they do not have any intention of paying ...I was thinking of moving my energy account when it comes up for renewal in a month's time ...no way ....Still cannot understand why the cons get 99.07 % when every single one of the last 19 reviews has given them 3 stars max..

I picked British Gas for my Central Heating homecare purely on the basis of the £52.50 cashback. It has been sitting on my account waiting patiently to be confirmed. I checked my account today to find out it had been declined with no explanation. I also cannot submit a claim because the service was ordered more than 100 days ago! Way to go British Gas, wait until it's too late to submit a claim then knock the deal back. Shoddy, I will be cancelling the service as soon as possible.

Don't waste your time. Cashback declined after 100 days has passed so can't lodge a claim with tcb. And no voucher from British Gas either. Bunch of thieves,

This cashback initially tracked at £0.00 but has subsequently been declined. I have filed a claim and am awaiting conclusion but if it is declined I intend to cancel the policy; it's simply not value for money without the £50 cashback. I was also told I would receive a voucher from British Gas when I took out their HomeCare product but it is yet to arrive after three months. I'm not holding my breath on that one. Overall I find the service and value-for-money offered by British Gas to be substandard. I switched my gas and electricity provision to them and was disappointed when they increased the cost of supply in late 2013. When I called up to discuss this with one of their agents, the response I was given was, "These are our prices and if you don't like them you can subscribe to another supplier". Which is what I will be doing once the minimum term expires in May.

Purchased a British Gas Homecare policy through Top Casback in October 2013, had to chase the payout on this and finally received this in February 2014, also on this offer was a £20 Marks and Spencer voucher which I still have not received and does not like going to receive. I have tried chasing this with British Gas themselves and got no where and asked Top Cashback for a contact number which there are unable to supply, do think could therefore have got a better deal without going through this site.

I applied for British Gas Homecare on 3 October via TCB. After receiving an acknowledgement email from them - nothing. After three weeks I contacted them by phone and queried this with no explanation offered by British Gas. As my existing contract was due to expire, I went through the process again over the phone, and was told I was covered and would receive details in the post - again nothing. I rang again twice this week - my direct debit has been taken but no record of cover - apparently they have moved to a new system, but not all accounts have transferred over. Hopefully now sorted, but the only reason that they could give for not responding to my online application is that they are 'very busy'. I have my doubts whether the cash back will track but we shall see!

I fail to see that out of 19 recent transactions, 10 have given BG 1 star rating, 4 have given them 2 star, 3 have given them 3 stars i.e 87 % are not happy with BG so where does the 99.09% satisfied with this merchant as shown on the review summary come from!!!

Don't waste your time. Cash back initial showed up. Email from BG saying I'm covered and then when I phone to claim? No policy and said it was because it was done online. So, no cash back, no BG voucher and no fing cover.

I also chased British Gas fir ny £20 M & S vouchers and eventually they rang me and said they did not offer vouchers anymore. However I pushed and they sent me a cheque for £20 so dont give up
