Customers will also be able to take advantage of a UK-based help team and a 24-hour claims notification line. As well as offering great home insurance deals, you can view their gas and electricity tariffs or browse their wide range of home services, which includes cover for your appliances, and HomeCare, which will cover repairs to your boiler, central heating system, plumbing, drains and home electrics.

Insurance Options
Whichever of the three British Gas home insurance options you choose, you can benefit from savings of 20% when you buy online. To protect your home's bricks and mortar, as well as all of the fixtures and fittings in your property, they offer buildings insurance which provides cover from £500,000.
If you need to protect your household possessions, such as electrical equipment, jewellery and other valuables, you can take out contents cover from £65,000, while there is a £12,000 limit for single valuable items. If you need both buildings and contents cover, take out combined insurance for total protection against theft and damage caused by fire, flooding and storms.
