The Gift of Cake is a family business based in the South West of England. Cakes are in our genes. Our founder’s mum made cakes at home and had cake delivered locally and her mum ran a village tea room and made all her own cakes. Cake has made us the people we are. We live and breathe cake.

So in 2015 we began to think about cake delivery and how great it would be if you could order a handmade cake and get it delivered to someone – an alternative to flowers (sadly inedible) or chocolates (predictable). We wanted to provide a service for ordering a cake online, including a personalised message and sending it by post as a lovely gift for the lucky recipient. But it’s not that easy to send a cake through the post. So we’ve invested time, money and hard work to provide a great solution.
