M&S Sparks
The M&S Sparks customer loyalty scheme changed in April 2026 and now offers shoppers a more rewarding way to shop.
You can earn cash rewards in your digital Sparks wallet when you hit spending targets.

With the new Sparks scheme, you’ll earn cash rewards on your Sparks Card when you spend across certain categories and meet spending goals. For example, you might get £10 when you spend £50 on Fashion, Home and Beauty, or £5 when you spend £35 in the Foodhall.
Shoppers can also enjoy bundle offers, such as a £5 reward when they buy a bra and knickers, and rewards for buying things they don’t usually buy.
You’ll need to activate your offers within the Sparks Card in the M&S app. Your rewards will be added to your Sparks wallet, ready to be spent when you’re ready (you can even save them for your Christmas shop).
M&S still give Sparks members a free hot drink after they've bought six hot drinks in the M&S Café. You'll also be sent a Birthday Treat once a year (often a punnet of fruit or a packet of cookies).

How do I spend my rewards?
To spend your Sparks rewards, head to the Your Sparks section in the M&S app. Tap Spend at the top of the screen, then select how much of your available balance you’d like to use. You can then spend your rewards on your next online or in-store purchase (as long as your basket is of the same or more value).
What are the pros and cons?
Choose which charity you’d like to support and M&S will donate 1p to them every time you scan your Sparks Card. Charity partners include Mind, British Heart Foundation, Shelter and The Black Curriculum. You can also select to spread your donations equally if you’d like to support all of the available charities.
You don’t earn rewards on every shop, only specific categories and products relating to deals you’ve activated in your app. Some of these deals may leave you feeling pressured to spend more money in order to unlock certain rewards.
Sainsbury’s Nectar
500 Nectar Points = £2.50
Earn Nectar Points when you shop at Sainsbury’s and unlock exclusive member-only prices.
You’ll get one point for every £1 you spend, with each point being worth 0.5p to spend at Sainsbury's.

Sainsbury's offer shop-wide Nectar Prices which are updated weekly. You can get price reductions on a wide range of discounted products, from fruit and veg to fizzy drinks. The price of these items will be automatically reduced when you scan or apply your Nectar Card.
One thing we really love about Nectar Prices is that you can stack them with other promotions like their 25% off six bottles of wine deal.
You'll also receive 'Your Nectar Prices', which are personalised lower prices on products you buy regularly. These can be found in the Nectar app.
To access your discounts, scan your Nectar Card or app at the checkout in store, or log in to your Nectar account through the Sainsbury’s website if you’re shopping online.

How can I earn more points?
Earn more Sainsbury’s Nectar Card points by filling your vehicle at a Sainsbury’s petrol station or spending with your Sainsbury's credit card or American Express Nectar credit card.
Another easy way to earn more Nectar points is to sign up for Nectar Canvass surveys. By completing these online surveys and other small tasks like product testing and even focus groups, you can earn bonus points to spend on future shops.
How do I spend my rewards?
You can spend your Nectar points at Sainsbury’s by scanning your Nectar Card at the checkout. Nectar partners are subject to change, but you may be able to spend your points at:
Tu Clothing
Habitat
Argos
Uber
Eurostar
British Airways (Avios)
Dulux Decorator Centre
Esso petrol stations
Nectar Hotels
Looking to get more value from your Nectar points? We've got an entire Nectar points guide dedicated to helping you maximise your rewards.
What are the pros and cons?
You can spend your Nectar points at a range of different retailers, including Eurostar and Uber. You can also choose to donate your points to a local or national charity.
The rate of Nectar points to money spent at Sainsbury’s only actually equates to 0.5%. So, for every £100 you spend at Sainsbury’s, you’ll only actually receive 50p in rewards. Compared to some other loyalty schemes, this doesn’t seem like a huge incentive to shop.
What does our team think of Sainsbury’s Nectar?
TopCashback staff member Gemma said:
'I use my Nectar Card regularly and I usually wait until they have bonus days and points events where they double the points you have for certain departments. I use these to purchase clothing, uniform or toys for my girls, depending on the time of year they have the event.'
Tesco Clubcard
150 Clubcard Points = £1.50
As a Tesco Clubcard member, you can collect points to spend at Tesco or one of their reward partners.
You’ll get one point for every £1 you spend in store and online (as long as you scan your card). Once you reach 150 points, you’ll receive a £1.50 Clubcard voucher.

When you’re walking around the store or browsing online, you’ll notice that many items have yellow Clubcard Prices that are cheaper than the regular price. These are exclusively for Clubcard members, and the savings can really add up. Bottles of wine included in Tesco's 25% off six bottles deal can also be stacked with any existing Clubcard discount you see (so you could save much more than 25%).

If you’re keen to get more discounts, you can become a member of Tesco Clubcard Plus for £7.99 a month. You'll get 10% off grocery shopping in store twice a month (you get to decide when to use your discount coupons) and 10% off all F&F clothing purchases. Tesco Mobile customers can even enjoy double monthly data on any pay monthly Tesco Mobile contract.
How can I earn more points?
As well as earning Clubcard points on your Tesco grocery shop, you can also earn one Clubcard point when you spend the following amount with these Tesco partners:
£1 at Tesco Mobile (plus Clubcard prices on Tesco Mobile SIM contracts)
2 litres of fuel at a Tesco petrol station
£3 spent on fuel at Esso-branded petrol stations with a Tesco Express shop
£4 spent with your Tesco Bank credit card
£1 spent at F&F, Tesco Café, Whoosh, Delivery Saver, Tesco Pharmacy, Tesco Photo, or Tesco Marketplace
£1 spent at Evri.com
These reward rates are correct as of August 2026, but may be subject to change.

How do I spend my rewards?
Tesco will automatically turn your points into vouchers and send them to you every three months, either by post or through your Clubcard app.
To spend your Clubcard points at Tesco, all you need to do is scan your vouchers through the checkout when you pay for your shop. If you’re ordering online for home delivery, you’ll need to register your card to your account. You can also use your Clubcard points to reduce the cost of your mobile bill if you’re a Tesco Mobile customer.
If you're budgeting for the festive season, you can save up your Clubcard vouchers throughout the year to spend on your Christmas food shop in December.
To get the most out of your reward points, consider spending them at one of Tesco’s rewards partners instead. This will maximise the value by up to triple the amount. Places that accept Clubcard vouchers as payment include:
Disney+
Alton Towers Resort
Thorpe Park Resort
Hoseasons
West Midland Safari Park
Eden Project
The London Dungeon

Fitbit

What are the pros and cons?
You can spend your Clubcard vouchers at a range of retailers, increasing their value by as much as triple. This means a £1.50 Tesco voucher can become £4.50 to spend somewhere else, depending on where you spend. Tesco also give you the option to donate your points to charity.
If you spend your vouchers in store, you won’t get as much value as you would if you spent them elsewhere.
What does our team think of Tesco Clubcard?
TopCashback staff member Lou said:
'Clubcard is great because your vouchers can be used to get money off your shopping, or exchanged for vouchers to spend with their partner companies, so you can save money on days out and meals out. But the biggest benefit of the Clubcard for me is that I can use it when buying petrol at Tesco.'
Morrisons More
5,000 More Points = £5
With a Morrisons More membership, you'll earn points on every item you buy in store.
Members can also enjoy instant discounts and money-off offers personalised to their shopping habits.

Morrisons have scaled back their loyalty scheme, removing features like Basket Bonuses in favour of a more simplified system.
Earn five points on most products you buy, and receive a Morrisons Fiver voucher when you get to 5,000 More Points.
Check out the My Offers section in your app to find individual product discounts. You'll also be able to unlock More Card Prices on everything from household cleaning essentials to coffee, wine and spirits. Just scan your Morrisons reward card at the checkout to access the discounted price.

How can I earn more points?
Keep an eye out for My Points Boosters, which are personalised offers that earn you extra More Points when you buy certain products. You'll also get five More points for every litre of petrol you buy at a Morrisons petrol station.
Morrisons hold rolling More Collectors promotions where you can earn bonus points for buying certain brands or products throughout the month at Morrisons.
During the festive season, there are huge rewards up for grabs during the annual Morrisons Christmas Collectors scheme (although bear in mind that they ended their Christmas Saver stamp scheme in 2026).

How do I spend my rewards?
You may need to activate the personalised offers you want to use, although some are loaded automatically, so check before you shop.
Scan your physical card or app at the checkout, and your discounts, deals and points will be automatically applied. If you’re shopping online, make sure you’re logged in to your account so you can continue to earn and redeem rewards.
What are the pros and cons?
As well as More Prices and Fiver vouchers, your discounts are instant and you’ll get personalised offers based on your shopping habits to use in store too.
You can only use your discounts and vouchers at Morrisons. Unless Morrisons is your go-to supermarket, this scheme might not have much to offer you.
What does our team think of Morrisons More?
TopCashback staff member Sophie said:
'Morrisons have made quite a few positive changes to their app and loyalty scheme, which is great. I like that they send you personalised offers. So, say if you buy certain items frequently, they’ll send you an offer for a percentage off, which you can activate instantly.
'You can also earn More Points when you buy certain items (which alternate), or fuel. This is really beneficial for mounting up points for the Fiver vouchers to spend in store.'
Asda Rewards
With Asda Rewards, you'll earn Pounds, not points.
Scan your Asda Rewards app at the checkout (or log in to your account online) every time you shop and complete Milestone Missions.

Missions could be anything from buying a certain number of products from a particular department or hitting certain spending targets over multiple visits. Complete your Missions and you'll be rewarded with Cashpot rewards.
How can I earn more rewards?
Complete as many Missions as you can in order to get a boost to your Cashpot balance. There may also be seasonal Boost events throughout the year where you can earn bonus Cashpot rewards.

How do I spend my rewards?
Any cashback rewards you earn from Missions will be added to your total Cashpot balance. You’ll then need to convert your Cashpot balance into vouchers to spend.
Sometimes Asda Rewards offer Boost vouchers, which will increase your Cashpot value by a certain percentage, so it’s worth looking out for this as well.
To make festive food shopping more affordable, shoppers can convert their Cashpot balance to Christmas rewards vouchers to spend in November or December.
What are the pros and cons?
If you enjoy the thrill of a challenge, the Asda Rewards scheme may be a fun way for you to save money.
All the language surrounding this scheme is a bit confusing. While you collect Asda pounds, rather than points, you still need to convert your pounds into vouchers, so things aren’t as simple as they may seem at first glance.
What does our team think of Asda Rewards?
TopCashback staff member Sophie said:
'Asda Rewards is good, and I’ve used it frequently. It’s not like other rewards schemes where you get money off instantly, which was a bit confusing at first. The bonuses you get all add up and then you have to switch it (and round down to the nearest £1) for an in-store voucher. For example, I have £6.57 at the moment but I can only transfer £6 to a voucher.
'I think the only downside of this scheme is that it takes a while to accumulate rewards, especially if you don’t regularly shop at Asda.'
Lidl Plus
100 Lidl Plus points = variable reward value
The Lidl Plus app gives members exclusive discounts, coupons and rewards each week.
You'll earn 1 point for every £1 you spend, and they'll even round up any spend under £1 to 1 point too.

Lidl Plus points don't have a concrete value like other supermarkets offer, as 100 points may get you a reward worth between 85p and £1.60.
Your points can usually be exchanged for Reward Coupons within one day, but it can take up to 48 hours. They'll stay active for two years from the day you earn them. You'll also receive personalised vouchers based on your spending habits.
Scan your Lidl Plus card (on the app) every time you pay at the checkout. Lidl don’t offer a physical card, so you can only access this scheme if you own a smartphone.
How do I spend my rewards?
Head to the Rewards Marketplace in the Lidl Plus app to see all of your rewards. From here, you can choose freebie rewards or money-off coupons to use on your next shop. Just activate your chosen coupons on your app and scan your digital card at the till to use them.
While you can only spend your rewards at Lidl, they do offer some discounts with partners, including Jet2holidays and Duolingo.
What are the pros and cons?
You can switch to paperless receipts by activating digital receipts in your Lidl Plus app. Not only is this great for the environment, but it also means you’ll never lose a receipt again.
Discounts and vouchers are strictly limited to being redeemed at Lidl. They also don’t have a physical card, so you can only access discounts if you’re a smartphone user.
Iceland Bonus Club
£20 saved = £1 bonus
Rather than collecting points, you can unlock cash bonuses to spend at Iceland when you load money onto your Iceland Bonus Card.
You’ll get an extra £1 for every £20 you save using your Iceland Bonus Card, which works out as 5% cashback credit.
Think of it like a savings account where you earn interest for investing your money with a particular bank. This can be saved for a time when money is tight, or for big occasions like Christmas.
In fact, Iceland shoppers can snap up a Christmas bonus when they save £100 or more on their Iceland Bonus Card before November. The 2025 Iceland Christmas bonus was £15, on top of the £5 bonus you'd earn on your regular £100 savings. That means by locking away £100, you'd have earned a £20 bonus to spend on your Christmas shopping.

Members also get exclusive Bonus Prices on food and household essentials. Other member perks include free home delivery on orders over £40, and a 10% in-store bonus discount every Tuesday for over 60s.
This scheme can be used in store or online; you’ll just need to register your card to your account if you’re ordering online for home delivery. For more information about how to get started, check out our guide to using Iceland Bonus Card.
How do I spend my rewards?
All you need to do is let the cashier at the till know how much of your Iceland Bonus Card savings you’d like to spend and they can deduct this from your bill. You can also add and spend your savings online by adding your card to your account.
What are the pros and cons?
Saving money on your Iceland Bonus Card is a great way to help you save for big occasions, such as Christmas. On top of your cashback bonus, you’ll also get access to Bonus Prices.
You don’t collect loyalty points with Iceland Bonus and you’ll need to lock money away in order to earn cashback credit.
Co-op Membership
As a Co-op member, you can enjoy personalised offers and Member Prices when you scan your digital card at the till.
To get a Co-op Membership, you'll need to pay a one-off fee of £1. With this fee, you’re actually buying a share in the Co-op company.

You'll get exclusive member discounts on Co-op branded products and services, as well as non-branded items. These are called Member Prices. As well as this, members receive personalised offers each week based on their spending habits.
Other perks include the chance to win cash prizes each month when you scan and spend £5 in store or online.

How do I spend my rewards?
Your Member Prices and discount offers can be redeemed in person at your local Co-op or on your Co-op online orders. You may also be given discounts for other Co-op products, including their insurance, funeral care and legal services.
What are the pros and cons?
Member pricing can be more rewarding than collecting points. This is because your savings are instant, rather than adding up over time.
Co-op membership can be confusing. When you sign up, you become a member of a specific Co-operative, and your benefits depend on which Co-operative society operates the store. Check the Co-op website for details.
My Waitrose
Shoppers who are signed up for the My Waitrose customer loyalty programme will regularly receive personalised vouchers.
You can also enjoy a free hot drink every day when you shop at Waitrose.

All you need to do is bring a reusable cup from home for your drink, then make a purchase in store, to earn yourself a free tea or coffee from their self-serve machines. Other member-only rewards include 20% off the cheese counter on Thursdays and 5% off your dry cleaning and laundry services at selected stores.
Members are also given free access to a range of Waitrose magazines, including their Food, Drink and Health magazines.
My Waitrose cardholders who also have a Vitality health or life insurance plan can also enjoy up to 25% cashback on Waitrose products that have the Good Health logo on them.

How do I spend my rewards?
To spend your vouchers, you’ll need to scan each voucher at the checkout when you pay for your shop or checkout online. If you’d rather print your vouchers at home and bring them to your local store, you can do this by downloading them from your account onto your computer.
For more information about how to get the most out of your loyalty card, check out our handy guide to maximising Waitrose rewards.
What are the pros and cons?
A My Waitrose card will get you some discounts in store, including 20% off cheese on Thursdays.
You can only use your vouchers and discounts at Waitrose, which might be limiting for some shoppers.
Why bother with supermarket loyalty schemes?
Signing up for a supermarket loyalty scheme allows you to earn rewards when shopping for essentials, and they're usually free to join. You can get rewarded for buying things you’d usually buy, at the place you’d usually buy them.
By scanning your physical or digital loyalty card every time you shop, you can collect points to get money off future food shops, or other instant vouchers and rewards.

Some supermarkets also let you spend your rewards with their reward partners instead. Whether your points go towards your food shop, a new pair of shoes or a family holiday, supermarket loyalty schemes can be a fantastic way to get rewarded for your essential purchases.
And just because they’re known as loyalty schemes, this doesn’t mean you’re restricted to shopping with just one retailer. That being said, the more you shop with one supermarket, the bigger and better your rewards can become.

Supermarket loyalty FAQs
Still have burning questions? Check out these FAQs, or leave us a comment if you still can't find what you're looking for.
When it comes to buying our groceries each week, we all have a choice as to where we go. Supermarket chains are aware that we have a choice. And with loyalty cards, UK supermarkets can reward customers for shopping with them.
No, there isn't currently an Aldi loyalty card available for shoppers, as the supermarket claims to already have a core focus on providing customers with high-quality food at low prices.
Despite not having store loyalty cards, they do have Weekly Specialbuys, where specific items are discounted for a short period of time.
Register for a loyalty scheme membership on the supermarket’s website or via their mobile app.
Depending on the store, you may be able to pick up a physical card if you don’t want to do things digitally. It’s worth asking a member of staff at your chosen supermarket how to go about this when you next visit your store.
Once you’ve set up your account, some retailers will send you a physical card in the post but others are purely app-based. With all the schemes we’ve mentioned in this article, you won’t need a physical card to be able to collect points in store or online, as you’ll also be able to access your card on the app.
If you forget to scan your card at the checkout, you may be able to claim your rewards retrospectively, as long as you keep the receipt. This is only a possibility for loyalty schemes where you collect points. It’s not always possible to add other types of rewards to an account after the event.
If the supermarket in question is able to add points to your account retrospectively, you’ll need to take your receipt and your loyalty card to the customer services desk at your local supermarket. A member of the team will then be able to organise adding your points to your card.
iPhone and Android users can add their supermarket reward cards to either their Apple Wallet or Google Wallet app. This will save you plenty of time at the checkout but if you’d rather not store your membership cards in your phone’s wallet, you can simply leave them as they are and open them through the app like normal.
When you register for a supermarket loyalty card, you’ll be asked to provide some personal information, which includes your name, address and date of birth.
In order to best target your offers towards you, each supermarket loyalty app will collect data based on your shopping habits. This includes information about what products and brands you buy and how much you spend. They may also pass this information on to their partners.
It's really simple: our site takes just 30 seconds when you buy online.
You do the shopping, we'll track your purchase, and then you'll get cashback in your account to withdraw to your bank or as a gift card.

When shopping at any of the big supermarkets in the UK, loyalty cards can help you unlock more value.
What you'll get from each scheme will vary between supermarkets, so if one shop offers better deals than another, it could make sense to switch. With the majority of supermarket loyalty schemes being entirely free to join, it makes sense to sign up to any that you would use on a regular basis.

You say "you can also spend those points at a range of retailers and get triple the value." but you should probably note that this is reducing to double the value as of 14th June 2023

Hi there,
Thanks for your comment. We’ve updated this article to account for the upcoming changes to the Tesco Clubcard scheme. We’ll be updating this article on a regular basis as we understand these types of schemes are subject to change at any time.

Partner rewards are soon moving (14 June 2023) to double the value (from triple the value) for Tesco Clubcard members.
Hi Jonathan,
Thanks for helping us keep our content up to date. We’ve added an explanation of the upcoming changes to the Tesco Clubcard scheme and will continue to check this article for updates on a regular basis.

I do not use or need a mobile telephone. I shop regularly at Lidl as prices are very competitive but they will not issue a physical card to access benefits.
I only use the Sainsbury Nectar card for essentials at a store near me. Each week I receive a message stating which purchases give additional Nectar points. I try to stick to these as other Sainsbury prices are high compared with Lidl or Aldi.
Hi David,
Thanks for your comment. We have to agree that the Lidl scheme not having a physical card is a limitation but are glad to hear you are enjoying using Sainsbury’s Nectar!
-Becca
At Morrisons 5 points per litre equals 0.5 pence. So you need to purchase 1000 litres of fuel to get £5 voucher. Same with Tesco 1 point equals 1p but you only get 1 point for every 2 litres which means you need to purchase 1000 litres to get a fiver. Sainsbury's you also need to buy 1000 litres to make £5. Be careful when shopping at Morrisons as 100 points equals 10p. and you only get points for certain items. I use Morrisons to stock up on diet coke as they often drop the price by £2 per box of 30. It looks like it will take me a few years to get a £5 voucher as I don't use many of the products which make you points. Sainsbury's and Tesco are the best.
Nowadays they seem to be everywhere, and if you don't have one, you're going to be overcharged.
I am member of nectar tesco waitrose and others. All work ok. Nectar and tesco the best. A few £ back helps
topcashback love it
very useful … takes some time to build up but if you can wait it's a nice little treat!
Co-op scheme seems to providing less and less benefits. Very disappointing that they have withdrawn charitable donations
Asda
Tesco
Nectar
Boots
Use them all a lot really help
Yes, I'm a member of a few and to be honest, there's no real rewards for loyalty anymore.
No, I refuse to use them. It blatant price gouging.
Very beneficial. Another like TopCashback- money for nothing basically 😊
Always use mine for even better value
Yes Tesco, Nectar, Co-op
Have loyalty cards for all supermarket that are available.
Use all, all the time.
My loyalty lies with where I am at any given time, best offers available, and enter all/ any competitions available.
All of the above!
Sainsbury’s, M&S
Always keep my eye on offers and always see if it’s something need and get that that week .
If I’m buying padron peppers for dinner I will go where I get the best deal from a supermarket
I have morrisons more card. Ive made £20 on Christmas shopping. Ive made a lot of £5 and now when I shop next I will have £10 i prefer to make 10 as its easier than having to make £5. I love my card and I also make money on topcashback.
I definitely use them as an incentive especially Tesco Clubcard as it allows me to add extra to my clubcard to prepare for Christmas and get a little extra back from them. Not only that, it allows me to receive the clubcard lower prices.
I have a loyalty card for just about very supermarket, very little helps.
I am a member of literally every supermarkets membership card.
I tend to shop the best offers from each shop, so the card doesn't make much difference.
My local coop is probably best for daily discounts, as membership prices on products add up, and they send you weekly vouchers based on your shop, so for me its a good card to have.
Tesco Clubcard and Nectar. Both "reduce" prices when used, so must be a no-brainer. Secondly, I use them as "cash"; when I see something I'd like to buy, I spend the loyalty points to shop with and use the cash I've saved to buy/put towards the thing I'd like to buy
I would have had to buy groceries, so I merely "translate" the cost of doing so to something I want rather than need.
I love loyalty cards. You get a lot of products cheaper if you scan the card. I have Morrisons, Sainsburys Nectar, Tesco clubcard, M & S Sparks, Asda and Co-op. I always save nectar and asda rewards until Christmas to help with the food shop. I save my Tesco rewards for the school holidays towards food/snacks for my grandchildren when they visit. I don't use Morrisons much. So takes me ages to earn a voucher
I have a Loyalty card for most Supermarkets, as I enter lots of competitions that require me to make a Purchase, and with the advent of " card prices" it means I get the lower price in the Supermarket I am required to make the purchase in. Plus the points mount up( albeit slowly) and I use them to purchase fuel for the car
Lidl Tesco
Not anymore, I don't think there's much benefit to them now.
I have a tesco club card. I no longer find it that great as tesco is so expensive to shop in, that I rarely go in
All pf them.
M&s i really like
I save my Sainsburys points all year and use them to pay for the Christmas food
