How does the Iceland Bonus Card work in 2026?

Last updated: 02/06/2026

Do you shop regularly at Iceland, or use the budget supermarket to stock up on essentials and frozen goods? Signing up for the Iceland Bonus Card is an easy way to get more bang for your buck and it’s free to join.

The Iceland loyalty scheme had a rebrand in August 2025, becoming the Iceland Bonus Club. Now a fully digital card, you can enjoy more perks, discounts, and offers than before.

The Iceland Bonus Club works half like a loyalty scheme and half like a top-up card. It offers top-up bonuses, Bonus Card prices, exclusive rewards, and more.

Let’s dig into the details about how the Bonus Card works, how to use it, and what you’ll get.

We feature Iceland as a brand on our site, meaning you can earn cashback when you shop online. So if we're offering 10% cashback and you click through and spend £50, you'll get £5 in your TopCashback account. We promise it's that simple.

How does the Iceland Bonus Card work?

Just like most supermarket loyalty cards, the Bonus Card gives you access to exclusive deals and member prices.

The difference lies in their ‘pounds not points’ feature, as it works like a top-up card as well; load money onto your top-up to spend on your grocery shop. Add money to your card and get a 5% bonus to the amount.

You can use your Iceland card in store or online to pay for your shopping, so it just makes sense to ‘top up before you shop’ and get a little extra back.

We love this feature of the Iceland loyalty card, as it means you can track exactly how much you’re spending and get a little bonus when you do. After all, we love cashback in all forms.

What benefits will you get?

Let’s get straight down to it: what goodies do you get when you sign up for an Iceland loyalty card?

🛒 Get 5% cashback: top up £20 to your card and get a £1 bonus. You don’t have to add £20 all in one go, but once you’ve reached that amount, the £1 will automatically be added to your balance within 48 hours.

🛒 Iceland over 60s discount: every Tuesday, members over the age of 60 can bag a 10% discount on their in-store food shop. Simply scan your card and show your ID to claim (in-store only).

🛒 Free delivery: get free delivery when you spend £40 online, or get a free next-day delivery service when you spend £40 in store (so you don't have to carry it all home!).

🛒 Partner discounts & offers: Bonus Club Rewards include free trials and discounts at partner brands. Examples include 15% off LEGOLAND tickets, 15% off Thorpe Park tickets, 90 days free with BookBeat, and a free Shavekit trial pack worth £8.99.

🛒 Bonus Club prices: the new Bonus Club offers member-only discounts on 500+ products in store when you scan your digital card. These change from week to week so keep your eyes peeled!

🛒 Competitions & prize draws: every now and then, Iceland host competitions and prize draws for members. Enter for your chance to win.

🛒 Christmas bonus: top up your card with £100 before 4th November and get a £10 bonus. You don’t have to top up all in one go, and you’ll still earn £1 for every £20, meaning a total of £15 for free. You’ll receive your £10 by 22nd November and will need to spend it by the 24th December*.

How to register and start using

The new Iceland Bonus Club is all about the digital card, although you can still get a physical card if you prefer. Not all stores will carry physical cards, so you'll need to check with your local branch.

Register your Bonus Card online and if you download the app, you can access all the deals and scan the barcode right from your phone.

After you've downloaded the app, you’ll need to link your card to start using it, but you’ll only need to do this once. You can then access and scan your card without internet next time you're in store.

If you don't have a smartphone, you can still join by linking your account to your phone number, which you can do in store.

Load your card with money online, via the app, or in store by telling the cashier how much you’d like to top up. Your balance will then be reflected on your account for you to spend at Iceland.

You can spend your Bonus Card balance at any online or physical Iceland store, as well as at The Food Warehouse, by scanning the barcode on your physical or digital card.

We feature Iceland as a brand on our website so when you shop online via our site, we offer up to 17% back on your basket.*

So, how does this work? Visit our site, search for Iceland, then click the ‘get cashback button’ to shop at Iceland. Our cookies will track your referral, and once you’ve finished shopping and placed your order, you’ll get cashback in your account. If our cashback rate is 17% and your Iceland shop comes to £40, you’ll get £6.80 – for free (plus free delivery).

You’ll also find Iceland as one of our Reward Wallet retailers. This means when you’ve got enough money in your TopCashback account, you can cash out via Iceland and get a 2%* bonus when you do. If you have £50 in cashback, you’ll get £51 as an Iceland voucher.

Iceland Bonus Card vs other loyalty cards

So, how does an Iceland loyalty card compare to other supermarket schemes?

😄 Their ‘pounds not points’ feature allows you to view your earnings in pounds, like Asda Rewards does. This makes it a bit easier to keep track of what you’re saving and earning, compared to schemes like Tesco Clubcard and Sainsbury’s Nectar.

😐 Your 5% bonus comes from topping up your card, rather than as a bonus for spending.

😄 Frequent in-store prices are available for members, which works in a similar way to most other supermarket loyalty schemes.

😄 Iceland bonus cash can be spent at Iceland or at The Food Warehouse. Sainsbury’s Nectar scheme is the most similar to this, with a generous amount of retailers accepting Nectar points, like Caffè Nero, Esso, Argos, and several others.

☹️ Once you’ve loaded money onto your Bonus Card, you can’t withdraw it. With points-based schemes like Nectar, Clubcard, and Morrisons More, you can return select physical items you’ve earned points on and your points will be deducted.

😄 Get a Christmas bonus of £10 if you top up your card by £100 before 4th November, plus £1 per every £20, totalling £15. Most supermarkets offer similar Christmas bonus deals.

A chill way to save at Iceland

The Iceland Bonus Card is a great way to save even more money at the low-cost supermarket. If you’re a regular shopper here, you could save with frequent offers and 5% cashback bonuses.

Even if you only use Iceland for basic items and occasional frozen goods, we still think it’s worth signing up for a free membership card.

Pre-loading your card for a food shop can help you keep track of what you’re spending, and with a bonus when you do so, it seems like a no-brainer to us.

Yes, you can get a card in store. Head to your nearest Iceland and ask about getting a physical bonus card. You will also need to register your card online after you get it, so maybe you can ask a member of staff to help you with that?

I registered my card online about 2 years ago and I have only just started to use it and over the last week I have spent over £40 in the store. The card has to be registered because the card online has the same numbers as the card in my wallet.
