I used Southern Railway all the time for my rail purchases (regardless of route), and the 6% cashback was excellent. Tracking time was often the same day and seemed to be much more reliable if I used IE rather than Firefox.
But today when I clicked through I got a "no association with this website" error from TradeDoubler.
When I went back I see that TCB are now saying that they don't offer Cashback with Southern Railways so guess I need to look for another ticket company now :-(

The previous cashback rate of 6% offered by Southern Railways on ticket purchases (including other train operators) was excellent. However, it now seems it was too good to last as all cashback has been withdrawn from being offered during the evening of 16 January! Fingers crossed it may reappear one day.

I use Southern a lot. I have purchased many tickets from them with no problems on tracking. Payment is slow and is a good 10-12 weeks. Then for some reason about a dozen tickets didn't track. I submitted manual claims for each ticket and after some emails back and forth Southern did pay up but that took six months. It seems to be tracking fine now.
Just be mindful it's not quick to pay and keep an eye to make sure it's tracked if not submit a manual claim. It does not work on Season Tickets but does work on even non Southern Tickets

Always quickly tracked within a day, makes train travel that little bit cheaper. If you're not tracking then make sure you're deleting cookies first and not going via the national rail site first.

Bought loads of tix across the rail network via them and always had very rapid tracking, and payout in due course. Their moneyback guarantee covering uncollected TicketsOnDemand (except others Advances) = major bonus, and their lack of any fees/charges means they are my first port of call for tix.

Chose southern railways as amount of cash back higher than trainline and no booking fee charged. However tracking is hit and miss out of 3 purchases only 1 has tracked and so waiting for Topcashback to sort out. Don't think I will use southern railways again

Southern have no extra fees to post out tickets etc. their rainy day refund promise is also honoured i use them for all bookings whatever the train company, can't sing their praises enough

So glad Southern are back on TCB. Had been forced to use South West which offered much lower rate and then stopped tracking altogether. Southern offer 6% and tracked in about 45mins. Nice.

Such a good train ticket provider... Unlike others they don't charge to send your tickets or charge a booking fee. I ordered at 4.50pm and the next day my tickets were in my door by 10am! (FREE FIRST CLASS). Plus with a high rate of cash-back they are great! Site is easy to use, just takes a while to get used to. If you want to keep your seats open don't click a time!

I got the cashback as advertised, but their website tries very hard to put you off buying any tickets and I honestly don't think it is worth anyone's bother. The experience is up there with Ryanair in terms of frustration. If you want to buy one big ticket then it is worth it, but if you are a cheapskate like me (and let's face it, you wouldn't be here if you weren't!) then it is not easy to buy more than one advance ticket. You put you tickets in a "basket" - maximum number of single journeys in the basket is 4, although it doesn't tell you till you try to exceed the limit. Then they make you pay for them one at a time, including entering address and card details each time. Then they make you wait for at least three minutes between each purchase. Then when you try to buy more than four tickets they tell you you have exceeded your daily limit. They advertise cheap deals, but obstruct you when you want to take them up. Not good!

Tracked within twenty four hours. Southern rail offer the best cashback for train tickets over all the rest (over £2 in cashback on my small booking alone!) Definitely worth booking your train tickets through tcb for the decent return of 6%! They also offer a 'rainy day' money back guarantee on tickets purchased for their trains alone, that's if your travel plans have to change!

As rail companies go, I think Southern is one of the best, with excellent, frequent services, pleasant modern trains and well-maintained stations. Like the old pre-nationalisation Southern, they are very commercially minded and have lots of special offers, especially for those who book on-line. Furthermore, on-line bookings have no extra charges when the tickets are collected from ticket machines or ticket offices, and in many cases are even refundable. The level of cashback at 6% is also good. There is just one problem: I have bought several tickets through TopCashback and not one of the purchases has tracked to my account! At present, they are all subject to missing claims actions. Let's hope for the best...
