I purchased a Virgin Money Travel insurance policy through the money supermarket comparison tool in June 2012. My recollection was that the description on the TopCashBack site indicated that I would get cashback. I accept that today it says there is no cashback but I believe the wording has changed over this period of time. I was refused cashback and this was MoneySupermarket's response...
”''Unfortunately we only pay commission on MoneySupermarket.com DEALS therefore we cannot payout on other categories such as home travel & car insurance''
TopCashback were not willing to pursue it further...
"We are sorry that we have not been able to recover anything for you on this occasion. I’m afraid that the simple nature of claims (in the way that the matter has had to come this far) means that the odds are always against us in getting anything recovered for you, and a lot of the time we are unsuccessful in doing so."
I personally won't touch MoneySupermarket in future with or without the offer of cashback.

Advertising £33 cashback currently for home insurance policies purchased. Sitting on my account with £0.00 allocation. Was thinking might have to wait until policy start date but this was several weeks ago now. Shame as would have used an alternative provider who actually pays out for the lead.

Went through money supermarket 2 months ago for home insurance but still showing as pending 0.00. After reading other reviews I no longer believe they will pay out.

I used this crowd to switch my utility supplier. The offer was £30 cashback. After 16 months of chasing I finally got told that Moneysupermarket wont pay up and there is nothing Topcashback can/will do about it. No reason was given for their non payment. They just aint paying. What a joke. Don't believe any of their cashback offers. In my experience they wont pay up.

Very disappointing - do not rely on cashback from MoneySupermarket. I bought car insurance through MoneySupermatket link and was told that £20.30 cashback would be paid. When this was not received I questioned it. TopCashback's response was
"Unfortunately, there is very little we can do as the merchants network is final. We are sorry that we have not been able to recover anything for you on this occasion. I am afraid that the simple nature of claims (in the way that the matter has had to come this far) means that the odds are always against us in getting anything recovered for you, and a lot of the time we are unsuccessful in doing so.
I hope that any transactions you go on to make in the future go a lot more smoothly for you.
As this declination reason is a closed-ended one though, we must now consider the matter to be finalized."
