Still waiting for cash back after 9 months - don't hold out much hope. On the upside everything else is tip top with M&S energy with a easy to use website & very friendly customer service. You can submit meter readings when you like so no estimated bills. They are a million times better then the thieving Scottish Power who wanted £112 a month for duel fuel when I could get it for £60 with M&S for a one bed flat. I could pick my tariff rather than be dictated too by the other big boys. Great retailer but not good on cashback.

I had to file a missing cashback claim, but they eventually paid out. So I got the £20 M&S vouchers AND £46 ish from them. Cuts my first bill in half overall. So, not bad, but they need to actually make sure things track properly.

Update to my previous Sept 2013 comment: After 2 months it had not tracked so I used their online contact form with my complaint. A few days later it tracked and then today I see it has paid out. So I did not have to wait long! It looks as if they are trying to put right their bad press here by paying out early! At least, in my case :)

Got the duel fuel and this tracked at the single fuel price with a comment that when validated will upgrade to the duel price. This did not happen at the validation stage so have had to chase this up to get the duel fuel offer. I am still waiting for a response so not happy with this.

Thought I'd add a positive update as most people only post with negative feedback. Switched to m&s dual fuel in September. Tracked as single fuel initially which was as advised on the tcb site. This single fuel amount is payable as of this week - I reckon this is about 10 weeks since purchase. The additional payment for dual fuel is now showing as confirmed on my account. No complaints from me.

Like many others I also had the dreaded " cannot send you a confirmation email because of an error" even though email entered twice on their website. Phoned them the following day and they couldnt confirm whether it had gone through or not. Also said it would only be a single fuel and not dual fuel swap as Southern Electric with whom I'm with currently is part of SSE who runs M and S offer. Rang them a week later and the gas part is being sorted but no sign of any cash back. Have put in a claim and will wait with unbated breath for any result. Interestingly the offer was removed on TCB a few days after my appliction. Pity TCB hadnt removed it before.

The application that I made online did not go through successfully with small technical error from M&S, and they request us to call back M&S customer services. We have called back, and all sorted accordingly. However, the merchant still not trackable. The discount rate disappear after I click and submit my application online on 5th Oct. This is tricky. If I knew I'll use intermediate companies.

After 2 months it had not tracked. I noticed that the contract from M&S said "Verbal agreement on 5th" but I did it on line on the 3rd and never spoke to them. I posted a message to them via their website pointing out that the contract was incorrect and hoping that I would not be another complainer on TCB. Co-incidentally, a couple of days later, it tracked!!! They never replied. I still have to wait 5 months to see if I get the cash.

Tracked as single fuel (which i knew). Then uplifted to £48. Confirmed, however payment method has been changed to voucher only.

I signed up to M&S Energy on septmeber 30th 2013, It tracked but only at the single fuel rate, I looked into it and the tcb site said that this was normal and it would update to duel fuel rate when confirmed, I checked back on it every few weeks, it took until now March 1st 2014 to show as confirmed but its still only the single fuel rate. I went to lodge a claim for the duel fuel rate, only to be told I cant lodge any claims on it as its been over 100 days!!!! what a rip off!!!! They tell you to wait for confirmation which takes over 100 days thus invalidating any way of complaining when its not uplifted as promised.

Failed to track after buying dual fuel although TCB could find the right date when I put my claim in.Gave correct account info when asked and since been told that NO cashback and TCB supports the decision as they have said they did not have enough info.How much more do they need.Poor job M & S Energy. Doesn't look promising and not holding my breath.

They said Another marketing channel was credited with sale for their cashback. I don't understand why Topcashback create a more reliable method to help tracking purchases. Maybe create a separate software, which monitors all steps to make sure they are tracked by TCB. It should not be that difficult technically, but maybe the retailers just prefer an unreliable method, so that they don't have to pay every sell.

Worst cashback experience so far. Signed up for duel fuel, it tracked as single, which is half the cashback value. Submitted a claim, claim was put on hold as TCB told it would correct itself after 3 months. 3 months passed, now the message is that they are dealing with it, but it could take months. Not only that, but it says next to it now that is will be paid in M&S vouchers only, which it did NOT say when first signed up - not sure how that will pan out as it's backtracking. We'll see, but not holding my breath. With regard to M&S energy, nothing much to report. It's an energy supplier run by Southern Electric, and does what it says on the tin.

Switch over completed with no problems, however don't do this like myself if you are expecting Cashback. Tracked as half amount which we are told but this hasn't yet updated to full amount - now M & S have declined saying they cannot trace account despite my supplying the account details and obviously M & S are taking my Direct Debits with no problems!!!
