... ctd... I've had extensive experience with the aforementioned 1&1 - who are a barrel of **** when things go wrong and have possibly the worst call centres in the world. They do, however, knock spots off Fasthosts for flexibility. I happen to know that 1&1 have the same issue with cashback and referrals, though. (a 10 exchange account sale will only register as one - which is rubbish). Know your beans before you join this host. Cheap is good when what you need is EXACTLY what they offer - but the past week has shown me Fasthosts rarely fit that criteria.

Ok - you need to think hard about using this company as a host. The cashback on offer is good, and tracks rapidly - but the service and product is sub-par. I have set up three clients recently using fasthosts - one big exchange account (nice cashback) and a couple of Mail Plus accounts (a few pounds). Problem 1: You only get cashback for the base account value. So; if you are setting up 10 exchange accounts - you'll only get CB for the base account you set up. For bigger sales, the deal is not so good.... Problem 2: Fasthosts seem pretty solid for email as long as you host the domain with them directly. you will run into all sorts of issues if you point DNS (MX) records to them. It can be done; but they do not handle it well and none of their knowledge base articles cover this situation. You will have to resort to their call centre if you get stuck. Problem 3: You can only have one domain per hosting account. (This one is just mad). So if you buy an Exchange account, but you want to point emails from two domain names to the one mailbox - you'll need to buy a hosting account (min £17.99) *just to set the domain up* - this is crazy stuff; but there is no way around it. Problem 4: Unhelpful, foreign call centre. There is only one thing more unhelpful than someone who is selling email services and doesn't understand basic DNS theory. Someone with a thick, foreign, pseudo-American accent who talks over you repeatedly. (Not an uncommon issue). Problem 5: Unreliable service. In three days I've had... a problem with Exchange User bookmarks - (fixed in two hours.) Delayed relay (24+ hours), DNS resolution issues, broken web-portal and incorrect guidance given over the phone. When it works, the interface is not bad, though. Problem 6: Their basic email service does not include an SMTP service. Not a big deal until you discover that 1&1 offer SMTP on their bottom end product. (And support multiple domains on the same account - even using external DNS). I've had extensi

Tracked very quickly. Reasonable cashback for Business Exchange hosting - but be warned that extra services you order won't be included and their doesn't seem to be a way to do this. (So if you need 4 x Mailboxes, you'll not get credited for adding another one).

Apparently, the transaction on this wasn't completed. Took over 18 months for fasthosts to come up with that excuse. Of course, they continue to take monthly payments for this transaction that wasn't completed! Liars!

Be very careful with Fasthosts - they sneakily (in small text with brackets) sign you up to pay monthly but on a 12 month contract. So you cannot get out of it without paying a fine.

Never tracked and when reported to TCB as a claim, Fasthosts ask for order numbers they don't supply. AVOID.

I use Fasthosts to purchase all my domains... dozens of transactions a year. The last transaction tracked accurately in 2016, and they refused to payout. Since then it occasionally tracks but Fasthosts ALWAYS decline it. I create a case with TCB, Fasthosts ask for an invoice number which I give them and they ALWAYS says it's invalid and reject the claim. AVOID USING THIS MERCHANT IF THE CASHBACK IS PART OF YOUR DECISION.

I should have read the previous reviews before clicking through to FastHosts. As with others, it appears unlikely that my cashback will ever appear. With all of these bad reviews, it does beg the question why TCB allow them to generate custom through this site when they don't appear to want to pay out.

I've just had the same experience as some others here. I purchased several domain names over two transactions back at the beginning of April, and neither of them tracked. After waiting a few days to make sure, I filed cashback claims for both transactions, giving full details including invoice numbers. And I've just finally got a response today - Fasthosts have refused to pay the cashback, giving the reason "Declined - Transaction not completed". Even though I have the invoices and domains in my account to prove that it was! I've actually used Fasthosts (UKReg) for my domain names for many years, as their control panel is very good compared to some others I've used - it allows me to control pretty much all aspects of the domain itself without having to contact them to do it. But on the one occasion that I have recently had to contact them, they were worse than useless. I wanted to register a domain name which was completely unregistered and available, but for some reason their system thought it wasn't, so it wouldn't go through, and they wouldn't just fix the issue so I could buy the domain. They said I'd have to contact the people who apparently had a hosting account with them for the non-existant domain name to get them to delete the account, but they wouldn't contact them for me or give me any information - they actually asked for my full contact details to pass to whoever it was! So they actually forced me into finding another company to register my domains with, and I was able to register the domain name with them instantly with no problems - so I think I'll be sticking with them in future.

I purchased a domain name via T.C.B. expecting 10% cashback, transaction never tracked! Had to file a T.C.B. support ticket, eventually got an answer after several months, but NO reason was stated! All I was told was that Fasthosts have declined my qualifying cashback, so that will be the very LAST transaction I will ever do with Fasthosts! Why cut your nose off to spite your face? Very poor service from this sort of company, use someone else!

No problems, tracked very quickly. Worth doing just for the advertising vouchers if you've got anything to advertise: £50 each for Google Adwords and MS Adcenter for less than £40 when you net the cashback off!
