Christmas Leftovers Recipes

Christmas is here! And with Christmas, of course, comes lots of food – so much in fact that it probably won’t all get eaten on the day. But fear not! We’ve got some amazing recipes to make use of all those lovely leftovers that’ll keep you in the Christmas mood all the way up to New Year. Enjoy!

Tasty Turkey Soup

With bellies at bursting point on Boxing Day and beyond, it can be nice to have something that doesn’t put a strain on the belt buckle.

This turkey soup is the perfect choice – it lets you use up some of that leftover meat and the rest of the ingredients are simply things you’ve probably got hanging around in your cupboards anyway. Simple, light and incredibly tasty!

Turkey Nachos with Cranberry Salsa

Everyone loves cranberry sauce at Christmas, but inevitably there’s always that half-jar left in the fridge come January.

This post-Crimbo dish with a Mexican twist will see to that. Making use of the leftover turkey too, this is great if you still have a guest or two hanging around until New Year – perfect for sharing in front of the TV!

Christmas Cake Trifle

Here’s a great idea to make the most of those few slices of leftover Christmas cake. This is one that can be made for later in the season, once all the selection boxes have disappeared!

Perfect for taking to parties and New Year’s gatherings.

The Obligatory Turkey Sandwich, But Not as You Know it!

You didn’t think we’d leave it out, did you? Turkey sandwiches are a post-Christmas essential!

But that doesn’t mean they always have to be the same old format. This Christmas Monte Cristo is a great way to shake up a classic.

The melted cheese and fried bread transforms a regular turkey sandwich into a mini-feast - perfect for soaking up those Boxing Day sherries!
