Below are the Consumer Reviews Listed in Date Order
| | Wow - the prices being asked for this CD are totally out of proportion | Written on 03 May 2007 | Me again - I lost touch with my previous review record when I switched ISP's, but I need to add a follow-up comment after accidentally dropping back onto this CD whilst searching for 'blues guitar' recordings.
The amounts of money [...] being asked are way beyond reasonableness. Yes, this is a good recording, but it's pretty run-of-the-mill and only really has historical interest as an example of old-style traditional 12 string blues guitar.
Far better to chase up Leo Kottke or Billy Strange. | | | Good old blues - but don't expect pyrotechnics | Written on 27 August 2003 | | Want an album of good, old-fashioned traditional blues played by a well respected bluesman, and featuring the 12 string. Look no further - but if you're expecting the finger-blurring excitement of Leo Kottke, you won't find it. A good album and one I originally bought on vinyl in the dim and distant days of my youth. Nice to hear it again - and St Louis Blues STILL rocks. | | |
