We’ve been looking for new ways to help you save! We’ve always been about giving you money back on your online shopping, but what about shopping in-store at your local supermarket? Surely there are some savings to be had there as well!

Our TopCashback mobile app for iPhone and Android went down a storm, so we’re really pleased you liked it. If you haven’t downloaded it yet, you've been missing out. It’s home to a whole host of vouchers you can use in stores on the high street, plus you can access all of the online cashback offers and the important things like your account balance too!

So what could we possibly come up with next?

Gone are the days where you can only earn cashback on your online grocery shopping, because snap & save is the first mobile app from a cashback site that allows you to earn cashback on your grocery shopping in-store, at all the major supermarkets! How can you get your hands on snap & save?

All you need to do is get the latest version of our mobile app for your iPhone or android phone. Simply select ‘In-store’ once you’ve logged in, and keep your eyes peeled for 'snap & save' in the green bar along the top.

Tip
If snap & save doesn't appear for you, ensure you have the latest version (v4.5) or if you have it already then simply restart your app and login from scratch and snap & save will be revealed.

Snap and save feature

To view the current in-store offers, simply flick through the snap & save area in the app. After you’ve been to the supermarket and bought the product, simply find each relevant snap & save offer in the app, snap a picture of your receipt (ensuring that the supermarket name, product and receipt date are visible) and then hit submit. Once your receipt is approved, the cashback will be added to your TopCashback account and is immediately payable to you. Perfect!

You can earn cashback on purchases from all the major supermarkets, so whether you shop at Tesco, Asda, Morrison’s, Sainsbury’s, Waitrose, the Co-operative or Iceland, then we’ve got you covered!

To cater for members who may not have an iphone or android phone (or even if you don't have a mobile phone), we will soon be making these offers available via a receipt upload facility on our website so that you can make use of them even if you don't have a phone ! (Although you will need a digital camera to take a picture of the receipt). We will also shortly be bringing this to iPads which have cameras.

So that we can upload a pic from the phone straight away? It's kind of a let down this way, and i'm finding using the service lesser than before due to having: take pic with the phone, upload pic to the pc, access TopCashback, upload the pic on the website.

@Throttle, unfortunately we are not currently developing a Windows phone app. It is possible that this will change in the future though.

I do have a Android S3 handset but im sick of it being faulty so now I like my Windows 8 mobile even though its more limited on apps :-( I have a iPad but I don't fancy taking it shopping tbh ! Lol

I'm just a bit concerned because people are having their tesco club card vouchers stolen online at the moment.

Coolskier18 February 2013, 15:25 App on iphone 5 doesn't seem to be able to upload. It's not crashing but it just says "there's and error uploading, please retry". Needless to say the retry has the exact same error !! Any ideas ??

Let- it appears that the App on the nexus 7 is saying that Snap and Save is available however, it appears that it may not be fully supported. Could you try uninstalling and then re installing the App, and hopefully this should work. If this fails then please could you use a phone or the website to upload your images?

Val_Aspinall- It may be that your phone is struggling with the upload process because it is trying to compress, save and upload all in one go. It may be worth using the website to upload your images? You can do this by using this link http://www.topcashback.co.uk/SnapAndSave/Offers

I'm having trouble with snap and save. After i've taken the photo and it's uploading, it thinks about it for a while and then kicks me out of the app. I've tried un-installing and re-installing but it's still doing it.

Once your receipt has been approved, you will get an email notification and it will appear in your account as a payable transaction. This can take up to 7 days.

As for the date range this is the date in which the offer is valid, and the date on your receipt must be within this time period. You must also submit your receipt within this date too.

We are looking into improvements soon and hoping that member's receipt submissions will be more transparent so that they will be able to see their submissions as pending in their account before they are made payable.

If you have a Sainsburys receipt then could you send us separate photos for the front and the back of the receipt, or somehow try folding them to get all the useful information into one photo.

malcolmhenderson9 February 2013, 15:52 Hi the app only allows you to take one picture of the receipt to upload, However saisnburys print their recceipts back to back and therefore if items are on the back that are eligible for cashback, the logo of the supermarket is not shown. This also applies in reverse, the date of the receipt is also only on the back and therefore impossible to take a picture of a receipt back to back with this app. I think you should apply a method to be able to stitch together receipts that applys to supermarkets like this, a different cashback app for groceries has this feature to get around this

Hi, we will endeavour to process your uploaded receipts within 2-3 days but we advise that you allow up to 7 days for busier timer periods and weekends. If we find that we can't read your receipt well enough or it is missing some of the information we need, then we will contact you via a support ticket (which you should also get an email notification for) and you will be able to re-snap your receipt for us. I hope this helps!

Hi, Snap & Save is currently only available for in-store grocery purchases, however we will be constantly reviewing the service and the feedback we receive from our members, so this may be an additional feature that we decide to add in future. I hope this helps for now.

3 February 2013, 12:35 As usual it's not available for Blackberry. Loyal Blackberry users get shafted again. Nothing wrong with the phones, it's just no-one will makes apps for them. Am the only person who objects to the notion that we all "want" an iPhone? I'm constantly feeling like I am being pushed towards getting an iPhone all the time and am being made to feel that i'm "missing out" if I don't have one. I love my Blackberry and I object to all this subliminal "pity" and "hate" for Blackberry being pedalled by advertisers and the media.It's a free country and I will use the phone I want to use. With or without your wretched little app.

mrshomersimpson3 February 2013, 11:03 Hi there, I downloaded the shop and save app for my iPad, but there is no shop and save option in the top green bar when I click in store? Also it seems as if the screen does not display properly on the iPad, as half the bottom buttons are missing.

I have installed and then removed and then installed again , and restarted the iPad but It makes no difference.

I can't wait to use this app it looks brilliant, please help.

iPad and a website upload facility will be supported before the current offers expire, just keep hold of your receipts. Unfortunately we don't currently support Windows Phone

Speedy3 February 2013, 09:21 I had to download the latest version (4.5) And then choose in-store. On the top green bar it says 'snap & Save' beside the 'featured' button. Just press 'snap & Save' and it loads a Kelloggs deal. You can then scroll through to the right to see the other offers.

I've just done it and earned myself 50p cashback - it's already appeared into my account as payable :-)
