Below are the Consumer Reviews Listed in Date Order
| | Really Pleased with This Product | Written on 11 May 2008 | Until now, I have used a carousel style multi CD changer. I liked my previous model, a Technics, very much but the time had come to replace it and a previous buyer's review made me opt for this type instead.
It is smaller in depth than the carousel models and therefore would fit better into most racks or cabinets. It is easy to set up. I used my existing leads to save unplugging them from the amplifier. The unit has a fixed power cable. Leads, remote, batteries for remote are all supplied.
I would recommend buying an additional cartridge. Loading discs into a cartridge takes longer than dropping them into a carousel and it is nice to have programme 2 ready for when program 1 has finished. One thing to be aware of: discs need to be fitted into the cartridge playing side up, not label side up. This takes a little getting used to if you are used to a unit where the discs are inserted label side uppermost.
I have only just taken delivery of this unit and already, I am really pleased I have it. Recommended. | | | Quality you can count on | Written on 02 June 2007 | The PD-M426 is, surprisingly (for an old-style 6-CD magazine style changer) a relatively new model for Pioneer. Nothing flashy, but zero issues either. It's a solid, if not spectacular, piece of electronics from Pioneer...highly recommended if you're in the market for a multi-changer (slightly more hassle, but less noise and quicker disc transition than a platter style).
I debated long and hard before choosing this over a 100+ changer (both Sony and Pioneer have those models). One drawback: you can't just drop in a single disc whenever you feel like it...and the magazine does get a little old in that regard.
Still, I've had it for three months and there hasn't been a single problem. So if you like the "magazine-style", you'll have no complaints with this unit... | | |
