Oh, why didn't this come 1 week earlier??? I've just upgraded my Sky package to include broadband, and I could have earned £10, now it's too late :(
Good for everybody else though :)

just joined both the site and the sky deal. I haven't a clue if the link worked, but having decided to go for a sky package earlier this week, I will be delighted if I qualify for some cash back too. (Is there a way to check that I qualify please?)

Hi chief1959,
Sure, anyone is elegible so long as your house doesn't already have sky (or has a sky dish) and you don't require use of a shared satelite dish. Your cashback should show up in your account shortly after you purchase online.

Sky blue pink Tried to sign up via the link provided but not able to finalise order. Used Sky online help but they didn't live up to their name.Wanted me to sign up with them direct and then give TopCashBack the order number so you could give me the cashback. Sounded to good to be true so didn't sign up. What is going on?

Old sky dish I live in a rented house and the tenant before me left her sky dish, which I've never used. Does this mean I can't get this offer?

Link doesn't work I have tried repeatedly to access this offer from your site, but the link doesn't work. I thought it must be busy with lots of people trying it, but it just doesn't seem to work. Any ideas on what to do?

TopCashBack on 09-Mar-08 22:06 retorts...
in Sky's defence Hi Member921438 - I'm afraid in your case it sounds as if the cashback won't be available. I think if there is a dish already at your property, then you won't be able to complete online and won't be eligible.
I realise it must be really frustrating for members who are excluded from the deals, and I have seen a few posts on a well known forum which aren't totally complimentary - but I would like to say a few words on behalf of Sky and all retailers caught up in such a situation.
I realise the following might sound a little bit 'sniffy' and also might get a bit technical - but I just thought I should try to explain a little....
It is a very normal business practice for a retailer to offer incentives to attract new customers. In fact the golden rule of cashback offers is that retailers pay cashback to NEW members - and in essence, the Sky offer is no different. (For arguments sake, as an example, I don't think many people would expect to receive cashback for sticking with the same energy company each year - whereas there is obviously good cashback available for switching). I do realise too that some people are miffed because they don't qualify for other reasons - living in a block of flats or because a previous house owner had a dish installed.
Partly because the Sky offer is so generous, more people are feeling hard done by if they miss out on the offer. Please remember however, retailers like Sky probably offer such deals not particularly as a cashback deal - but more as an incentive to other websites (such as comparison or other advertising sites) to advertise Sky's services in order to earn commission for themselves. In fact, they may not even be aware of the whole 'cashback' concept when they decide to run the incentive...(very few people do seem to be aware of the cashback ideal - that's why we need you to tell everyone about us ;-)).
Whew - got there in the end. Hope that wasn't too technical, boring or rambling (and hope it didn't sound like I was getting at anyone). I just wanted to try to explain things from the retailers perspective. I'm certainly not having a go at Member921438, lillibetisqueen or any other members who may have missed out on this deal.
Cheers Olly

Linking problems I realise some people have had trouble linking through to Sky.
Normally, the answer seems to be to check your anti-spyware settings which can be preventing you from linking through via the necessary third party websites.
I also realise there is at least one person who is having no luck at all trying to link through - even after checking his anti-spyware. All I can suggest in this case is to try different browsers or from a different network.
I hope this helps at least some of you...
Cheers Olly

Sky Deal The past three days I have been trying to link onto the sky & broadband deal through topcashback. Each time it takes all my details, including my bank details and then says that I have to ring up sky to confirm, which I do only to be told it has not completed. Then told to ring their customer service and they do not have a clue what I am talking about. Great deal! I have wasted hours trying to get it with no help from Sky and I e-mailed you twice for advice and have not had a reply.
